# Balance History

> Review every change to your program balance and export the record.

Every change to a program balance is recorded. You can review the full record at any time.

## The History tab

Open a program and go to the **History** tab. The table shows every balance change with these columns:

| Column          | What it shows                                                                         |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Date**        | When the change happened                                                              |
| **Type**        | The kind of activity -- redemption, return, recharge, or a [fee](/platform/fee-types) |
| **Reason**      | A short description of the change                                                     |
| **Created by**  | Who or what made the change                                                           |
| **Amount**      | How much the balance changed                                                          |
| **New balance** | The balance after the change                                                          |

Positive amounts add credits to the balance. Negative amounts spend them.

## Exporting the history

Click **Export CSV** to download the history as a spreadsheet. You can use it for reconciliation or share it with your finance team.
